ACS Junior Table Tennis Team
In 2012, our junior team, with only 8 players (up to 12 players in a team), finished 4th in the South Zone Championships to reached the Nationals. That year, we lost to Ai Tong 5-0 in the South Zone competition. It was the first big step for us.
In the nationals, we lost in the first round.
2013 was a good year for the ACS(J) Table-Tennis team. We had a bigger and stronger team. Our senior team finished 4th and junior team 2nd. Both teams went on to the Nationals that year. We lost to Ai Tong 3-2 in the South Zone finals.
In the Nationals, the senior team lost in the first round and the junior in the second round.
In the National Individual Junior Championships, Jabez finished 1st for ACS(J).
This year, 2014... we finally... FINALLY... created history for ACS Junior!!! We are the South Zone Champions (senior team)!!! Historically, the title has been dominated by Ai Tong School, Catholic High School or Pei Chun Public School.
Our junior team did very well to finish in 3rd place. Catholic High and Ai Tong, who finished 1st and 2nd respectively, had at least 3 YDS players in their teams.
All glory to God!
This is not even a National-level title, some might say, but THIS is our very FIRST Championship title!
AND I believe... The Best is Yet To Be!

South Zone Table-Tennis Championships 2014
It's been a wonderful journey for the ACS(J) Senior and Junior boys over the last two weeks as they've cheered and encouraged each other on in the tournament. We've been heartened by their determination and courage during moments when all seemed lost.
And through it all, we want to give thanks to the Lord for His abundant provision and for granting peace and unity to the teams.
We also want to acknowledge our coaches and teachers, who have worked tirelessly with our boys. They've never stopped believing that the boys are capable of more. Our gratitude also goes to all the parents who have sacrificed so much. Special mention to Valerie, Ailin, Wan Mei, Agnes, Linda, Pauline, Mae, Susan and Huey Chi who have kept our boys' spirits up with food and drink. Also, not forgetting all other parents who went and cheered for the teams.
Finally, we'd like to say a special 'Thank You' to our principal, Mrs Kathryn Koh, and the school leadership for your faith in our boys and the gracious assistance that you've extended to them. We are grateful.
All the best to the boys in the finals on Monday. Truly, we believe that The Best Is Yet To Be.
